August is the new January…

Here’s why starting a new fitness habit is better in August…
  • There is a sense of a ‘new fresh start’ in the air – schools going back after the summer holidays. (Yippee – bye bye children!)
  • It’s easier to leave the house – the evenings are lighter & warmer than January.
  • You feel less pressure-  you can get swept along with the ‘New Year- New diet & exercise routine’ in January because that’s what everyone does but it might not be the best time for you.
  • There’s more chance you will ‘stick with it’ – I have noticed that clients who start in August are still with me many months & years later but January starters are less likely to commit long term.
So what are you waiting for????
